Ed Palermo Big Band

This is a band in which I play keyboards. We do a lot of Frank Zappa material, all beautifully arranged by Ed Palermo. He has me playing organ parts, xylophone and timpani parts, string parts, etc. It's a great band and a lot of fun. We are almost finished recording our fourth CD of Zappa music. We play every couple of months at The Iridium in midtown.

Judy Barnett

 

A terrific singer, with whom I've worked and recorded for many years. We write songs together – I write the music and Judy writes the lyrics.

This is the website of the amazing saxophonist Jeff Lederer, who plays in my Standard Orbit Quartet.  Jeff also plays with the Matt Wilson Quartet, with Bobby Sanabria's Big Band, and more.  His most recent CD, Sunwatcher, was released in August 2011.
